Intro to GarageBand: Did you ever want to compose your own music? Then this is the class for you. You will learn how to use Apple’s music creation program and how you can compose your own music. This class will take you step by step through all the features and tools. We will teach basic functionality including how to set keys and beats, using pre-recorded loops, editing and combining loops, and the difference between regular audio and midi loops. We will demo live recording, including placement of microphones, setting recording levels, using the count-in and metronome feature, correcting and editing live recordings, combining live tracks and changing tempo and pitch. We’ll also cover disk space and archiving vs. saving. |
